West Coast Diabetes Therapy Specialist
•Organization and multitasking qualities are a needed to complete daily tasks •Know insurances in territory and understand what is needed in order to obtain authorization or meet medical policy •Understand the different statuses in OnBase and when to use them •Daily follow up with OnBase working all files in the queue for the day •Strategizing daily to move files appropriately to accurate follow up dates and statuses •Thorough documentation in RGH and OnBase •Regularly checking audit box to ensure that all files are being addressed in a timely matter, being corrected, and sending what is needed back down to billing •Always being current on product lines, having general understanding of products (recalls, rebates, uses etc.) •Maintaining low cycle times •Run territory as you own business to grow revenue, gross profit, and patient count from incoming referrals •Have an understanding of Edgepark- what is profitable, policies, procedures, culture, and values in order to incorporate this into daily process and conversations •Comply with all HIPPA standards and compliance plans •Travel as needed to meet manufacturer reps to top referring physician offices WORKING WITH MANUFACTURER PARTNERS: •Daily communication with manufacturer partners regarding current files •Setting expectations with manufacturers regarding the working relationship. Establish what offices they can do the doc collections for and hold them accountable. •Solicit growth opportunities that our manufacturer partners may be able to process internally. Set action plans and timelines. •Setting appropriate follow up expectations with manufacturers WORKING WITH CO-WORKERS: •Daily communication with co workers if assistance is needed in getting through follow-ups for the day •Building relationships with contractors in region to better understand insurance landscape and know where opportunities are •Working with account managers in region to utilize contacts and work together to grow relationships with offices/ manufacturers/ contractors •Open communication with management regarding territory wins, struggles, and improvements needed to be more efficient •Working with Diabetes Therapy Consultants (DTC’s) and retention to consistently grow current patients assisting them with ideas to help cross sell and upgrade patients. Ex; if there is a large opportunity with a certain health plan to be able to run campaigns •Working with billing to understand what they are looking for and understanding their policy and procedures in order to avoid loopback situations WORKING WITH PATIENTS •Setting appropriate follow up expectations with patients regarding their order •Explaining the ordering process to the patient; timeline, what is needed, getting patients involved in the process •Cross sell and up selling all diabetes products to patients •Taking incoming queue calls from patients regarding device order questions
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: Convert patient referrals for medical devices into orders by working closely with patients, manufacturers, health plans, physicians and other Edgepark employees.
